Finn Juhl (1912-1989). Sofa made of solid Rio rosewood. upholstered with woolen fabric, bored in bright vegetable leather, loose cushions in seat. Model NV-45. Designed in 1945. Made by master carpenter Niels Vodder, stamped. L 120 cm. Has minimal signs of use considering its age. A few small scratches and marks. Intact wool fabric with a few spots and small unravellings. Provenance: Passionate, private Danish collector of Finn Juhl and close acquaintance of cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, where the sofa was directly acquired in 1965. Literature: "Finn Juhl Memorial Exhibition" reproduced p. 130. CITES certificate from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency for trade within the EU is included. When trading outside the EU, an export/import permit must be applied for. The CITES certificate is item-specific, it follows the item from buyer to buyer and is valid for multiple sales within the borders of the country where it was issued.
