Arne Jacobsen. 1902-1971. Set of six Oxford chairs, Model 3171, swivel five-star base in aluminium and chromed steel. Produced and labelled by Fritz Hansen. H. 93/46 cm. Seat and back professionally upholstered in cognac-coloured aniline leather. (6) Aniline leather is made of high-quality raw leather. As a rule, the leather has a completely natural stripped surface, where all natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasize the unique character of the leather. The leather is full-grain, which means that the natural surface structure is preserved. Aniline leather changes over time through use and the effects of light, and it quickly develops a naturally beautiful patina.
