Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971), lounge armchair, 'The Egg' with swivel four-star base in solid profiled aluminum, early model finished on large ''shoes'' and four-star base with profiled aluminum stem, upholstered in patinated leather. model 3316, designed in 1958, manufactured and acquired from Fritz Hansen in the mid-1960s. H. 106 cm. Shows signs of wear, later reupholstered in the 1990s. Literature: C. Thau / K. Vindum 'Arne Jacobsen' 1998 Among others mentioned p. 144, 432 reproduced p. 433, 438-439, 467, 471-472.
