Arne Jacobsen 1902-1971. A set of six chairs 'The Ant', shells in moulded plywood, frame in chrome-plated tubular steel. Designed in 1955. Produced by Fritz Hansen, model 3107. Seat height 46.5 cm. Professionally reupholstered in mocha-coloured aniline leather. Aniline leather is made from raw hides. As a rule, the leather has a completely natural nude surface where all the natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasize the unique character of the leather. The leather is full-grain, which means that the natural surface structure is preserved. Aniline leather changes over time through use and exposure to light and quickly acquires a natural patina. (6)
