Russian icon: Mother of God with the Child Jesus. Kazanskaja type. Painted on wooden panel from around 1750-1800. On the left in red is the name of the icon and on the right are Jesus' initials with only the H and half of the O on the cross in his halo. The icon has been cleaned and restored by a Russian Orthodox conservator using traditional methods. 31 x 26 cm.
