Unknown artist. A pair of portraits of Christian Rudolff Ebeling (1730-1809), organist and clerk in Ulkebøl on Als, and Frederikke Sophie Louise Ebeling, née Hartwig (1731-1818). Oil on canvas. Unsigned. Late 18th century. 41 x 32 (52 x 41) cm. Appear with light surface dirt and scattered retouching, especially on the female portrait. Christian Rudolph Ebeling was a lackey at Augustenborg Palace under Duke Frederik Christian the 1st (1754-1794), where he is mentioned as such in 1761 and 1784. Around 1785 he came to Ulkebøl Parish as a clerk and also worked as an organist at Augustenborg.
