A collection of 7" vinyl singles spanning the late 1960s through to the 1980s, featuring a broad selection of influential British and American rock artists. Highlights include the Jimi Hendrix Experience's landmark debut Hey Joe, Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll, T. Rex's glam rock anthem 20th Century Boy, David Bowie's Sorrow, John Lennon's Love and John & Yoko's Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Also included are The Doors' Light My Fire, Creedence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising, The Yardbirds' Over Under Sideways Down, Peter Gabriel's Biko, Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade of Pale, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel's Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me), The Boomtown Rats and The Travelling Wilburys' End of the Line. The collection is further strengthened by four Moody Blues singles, including the sought-after Decca issue Steal Your Heart Away / Lose Your Money (F.11971), an early 1964 recording from the band's Denny Laine era. Also included are further Decca and Deram releases charting the group's evolution from rhythm and blues outfit to progressive rock pioneers, including the enduring classic Nights in White Satin and the later single Talking Out of Turn.
