Arne Jacobsen 1902-1971. A set of six chairs 'The Ant', shells in moulded plywood, frame in chrome-plated tubular steel. Designed in 1955. Produced by Fritz Hansen, model 3107. Seat height 44.5 cm. Professionally reupholstered in mocha-coloured aniline leather. Aniline leather is made from raw hides. As a rule, the leather has a completely natural nude surface where all the natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasize the unique character of the leather. The leather is full grain, which means that the natural surface structure is preserved. Aniline leather changes over time through use and exposure to light and quickly acquires a natural patina. (6)
