A collection of original 7" vinyl singles and an EP by Donovan and Van Morrison, spanning the mid-1960s through to the 1980s and showcasing two of the most distinctive and influential singer-songwriters to emerge from the British Isles. The Donovan section comprises four original UK Pye singles together with the sought-after Universal Soldier EP retaining its original picture sleeve. Issued during his transition from British folk troubadour to psychedelic innovator, the group includes Colours, Turquoise, There Is A Mountain and the international hit Mellow Yellow, with the Universal Soldier EP representing one of his most significant early releases. The Van Morrison section includes a broad selection of singles issued primarily on the Mercury and Warner Bros. labels, featuring many of his most enduring recordings, including Brown Eyed Girl, Into the Mystic, Warm Love, Bright Side of the Road, Natalia, Bulbs, Wavelength, The Eternal Kansas City, Celtic Swing and Northern Muse (Solid Ground), together with a promotional copy of Come Running. A varied and highly commercial collection charting the careers of two iconic artists whose work has influenced generations of musicians, offering broad appeal to collectors of folk, singer-songwriters, classic rock and psychedelic music.
