Finn Juhl 1912-1989. 'Høvdingestol' / 'Chieftain Chair' made of solid Rio rosewood, originally covered with patinated natural leather. Model FJ49 A. Designed in 1949. Made by Master Carpenter Niels Vodder, stamped. Has patinated and partially cracked leather, small crack in leather on seat, one button with a chip. Intact foam without incipient porosity. The wooden construction appears with minimal traces of use considering its age, a few small scratches and marks as well as slightly open joints on the top joint. Physical inspection only takes place by agreement with kolding@lauritz.com Provenance: Passionate Danish collector of Finn Juhl and close acquaintance of cabinetmaker Niels Vodder.
