An early Apple Records three-LP box set of The Concert for Bangla Desh, the landmark 1971 benefit concert album organised by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar. The concert, held at Madison Square Garden, featured an exceptional line-up including George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Leon Russell, Billy Preston and Badfinger, and remains one of the most significant charity concert releases of the rock era. This example is complete with its original illustrated booklet and orange outer slipcase. The records carry Apple labels and early US matrix details, with STERLING mastering stamps, LH initials, generally associated with Lee Hulko of Sterling Sound, and IAM triangle pressing marks, indicating Capitol’s Scranton pressing plant. The discs are correctly arranged in automatic-changer sequence, with sides paired 1/6, 2/5 and 3/4. A desirable Beatles-related box set, with strong appeal to collectors of George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Apple Records and early 1970s rock memorabilia.
