Three pieces of commemorative Bairnsfather Ware to include one unusual sugar basin depicting two images of Old Bill in trenches on two sides and the Herne bay crest on the other two. 10x 10cm. One dish 23cm depicting Old Bill in trenches "What time do we feed the sea lions Alf" made by the girls of Staffordshire during the winter of 1917 when the boys were in the trenches fighting for liberty and civilization printed on base. One fruit bowl 25 x 5cm. image of Old Bill having hair cut in trenches while shell passes over head "Coiffure in the trenches "keep yer'ead still or i'll ave yer blinkin ear off".
