A Stentor Messina SR1865 4/4 violin, from the maker's higher-grade orchestral range. The instrument has a selected spruce table with inlaid purfling, a particularly well-figured two-piece maple back with matching figured ribs and neck, ebony fingerboard and pegs, and warm amber-brown varnish. Fitted with an ebony tailpiece with four fine tuners. Together with bow and a fitted green-lined oblong carrying case.
