urvedC shape with relief decoration of birds, swirls and dots, stamped with angel mark C10, height 35 cm HISTORIAN Just as the name suggests, Estrid Ericson used a Peruvian earthenware vessel for the shape of her urn. The model in question is an earthenware vessel from the late Chimu dynasty (1150-1460), which since 1887 has been included in the collections of the Ethnographic Museum. Ericson's version faithfully reproduces the decor and shape of the original, so when as on the hangers, which in the tin version has been omitted and the sides have been left smooth. The “Peruvian Urn” belongs to the early production of Firma Svenskt Tenn, and was included in the range as early as 1925.
