A substantial collection of original UK 7" singles and EPs by The Spencer Davis Group and Manfred Mann, charting the development of two of the most successful and influential British beat and rhythm and blues groups of the 1960s. The Spencer Davis Group section comprises original Fontana singles together with the You Put The Hurt On Me EP retaining its original picture sleeve, representing the band's most successful period featuring the youthful Stevie Winwood. Included are Keep On Running, Somebody Help Me, When I Come Home, Gimme Some Lovin' and I'm A Man, together with the continental pressing of Time Seller. The Manfred Mann group includes original UK HMV and Fontana issues featuring many of the band's best-known recordings, including Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Sha La La, Come Tomorrow, Oh No, Not My Baby, Semi-Detached Suburban Mr James and Ha! Ha! Said The Clown. Also included is the early HMV single Why Should We Not / Brother Jack (POP 1189) retaining desirable first-cut 1N/1N matrix numbers, together with the original UK EPs Cock-A-Hoop, Groovin' With Manfred Mann, Machines and The One In The Middle, all retaining their original picture sleeves.
