A Nuremberg Renaissance silver tankard Silver; gold-plated. Silver gilt cylindrical tankard on a rounded base, decorated with scrollwork in bas relief and garlands of fruit hung from depictions of game animals in three oval reserves. With a detailed herm handle, domed hinged lid with corresponding décor and a putto riding on a dolphin for the thumb rest. A small monogram “M.v.B.” to the underside.
