Provenance: Acquired at Museumsbygningen Art Auctioneers, Copenhagen, auction no. 4, cat. no. 650, 1998. According to the stated provenance from the acquisition at Museumbygningen, the present brooch was a gift from Thorvald Bindesbøll to Herman C. Kähler's wife, Anna Kähler, c. 1905.
