Arne Jacobsen. 'Syveren' office chair, model 3107. 1960s. Swivel four-step base of chrome-plated steel with wheels, manually height-adjustable. Designed 1955. Manufactured by Fritz Hansen. Appears newly upholstered by a professional furniture upholsterer with mocha-colored aniline leather. Aniline leather is made from raw hides. The leather basically has a completely natural bare surface, where all natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasize the unique character of the leather. The leather is full-grain, which means that the natural surface structure is preserved. Aniline leather changes over time through use and exposure to light and quickly acquires a natural patina.
